Saladmaster Review – Is This A Good Opportunity Or Big Scam?

Saladmaster ReviewSaladmaster has been getting a lot of attention on the web lately.

Because there is so much hype, a lot of network marketers are trying to sell this opportunity all over the place, including all over social media.

I want to let you all know that I am NOT in any way promoting or selling Saladmaster.

I have simply gathered for you all the facts in this Saladmaster Review in order for you to make a proper decision about it.

So, is it true? Is Saladmaster a scam?

Can it really help you build an online empire?

Let’s carry on with the review.

What Is Saladmaster?

In the case of SaladMaster, we’re looking at one of the oldest MLM opportunities that I’ve ever conducted a review for.

SaladMaster was first founded by a Harry Lemmons all the way back in 1946.

As per the official SaladMaster website, “In 1946, the SaladMaster brand began in the home of Mr. Harry Lemmons. During the first year, Mr. Lemmons’ sale force grew from just three people to more than 100.”

Following Lemmons’ success, SaladMaster was eventually purchased by Regal Ware Inc. in 1979. Regal Ware continues to run SaladMaster to this very day, but there are a few curious bits of lacking information that raise some questions about the legitimacy of the SaladMaster opportunity.

For starters, there isn’t any available info in regards to the management/executive makeup for SaladMaster.

This sort of info is important to know for any potential business opportunity, but it simply isn’t listed here.

I decided to do a bit of research into this on my own, and doing so lead me to discover that someone by the name of Keith Peterson is currently serving as the President for the company.

Why doesn’t the SaladMaster website list this info? Who knows.

Keith Peterson does list on his LinkedIn profile that he’s with SaladMaster, but it’s only stated that his position with the company is “current.” As such, there’s no way of knowing how long Mr. Peterson has been with SaladMaster.

This lack of background information is something that’s quite common with younger MLM startups, but the fact that there’s so much missing info for a company that’s been in business since 1946 is alarming to say the least.

What Are The Products For Saladmaster?

Moving over to the product line side of things, SaladMaster initially launched bake in the 1940s with one single product that, “offered a new, time-saving technique for slicing fruits and vegetables for salads.”

Looking at the company’s product line today, things have changed quite a bit.

SaladMaster still sells items in the cookware category, but rather than just having one single product, SaladMaster now sells a wide variety of different goods.

Some of the most popular product categories include –

  • Skillets
  • Food Processors
  • Woks
  • Griddles
  • Cutlery
  • Bowls
  • Bakeware
  • Tea Kettles

While there are a ton of products to view, I found it quite odd and disturbing that there isn’t any retail pricing information provided for any of the goods that SaladMaster is selling.

Snooping around online, I was able to find that some cookware sets of the company’s sell for an upwards of as much as $2000.

What Is The Compensation Plan For Saladmaster?

Following the trend of missing information, the SaladMaster website doesn’t list any trace of an official compensation plan for the company. This is one of the most basic bits of information for any MLM opportunity, so I can’t think of any reason as to why SaladMaster wouldn’t include it on its official site.

Despite this issue, I was able to get my hands on an updated version of the SaladMaster “Spirit of Success” plan.

In the plan, it outlines various qualifications that affiliates must meet in order to start earning commissions within the company. There are three main requirements, and they include –

  • Affiliates need to recruit at least one affiliate each month in order to stay active
  • Members must sell a minimum of one set of SaladMaster cookware to a retail customer
  • Four dinner parties need to be held (marketing/promoting event for SaladMaster products and the affiliate program).

When it comes to retail commissions, affiliates are able to earn a set commission based off of their rank within the company.

Retail commission rates start out at 10%, but as you increase your affiliate rank, you can increase it up to 15% or 20%.

What’s Does It Cost To Join Saladmaster?

If you’d like to become an affiliate for SaladMaster, you’re once again going to be bet with a lack of proper information.

There isn’t any information on the SaladMaster website in regards to how much it costs to become an affiliate, with the only message related to this reading, “The initial investment to join SaladMaster is minimal — especially when compared to the expensive up-front costs of other businesses, like franchising.”

Is Saladmaster A Scam?

Have you heard from a friend that Saladmaster is a scam?

Based on this review, it might be hard to tell.

What exactly is the truth about Saladmaster – is it a scam or legit?

Good news – Saladmaster is not really a scam.

But, be sure to take a look at the conclusion, because there are some things you should be aware of.

This is how you will build a successful in your business.

Let me help you make more money.

Saladmaster Review Conclusion

SaladMaster is a very peculiar entity.

Here we’ve got a company that’s been around since 1946. With a business this old, you’d expect it to know a thing or two about providing ample information about what it’s offering, right?

Wrong.

SaladMaster has a tremendous lack of information on its website, with there being no data for the executive makeup for the company, what the compensation plan looks like, how much its products costs, what it takes to become an affiliate, and more.

This is all extremely basic info, and the lack of it here with SaladMaster creates for the feeling that the company is trying to remain as faceless as possible for a reason.

As for the product line side of things, there’s a good amount of variety and high prices to match.

There are a lot of other sites where you can purchase SaladMaster products (eBay), and although this sort of thing is kind of expected with a company as old as SaladMaster, it will definitely make your selling to customers a bit more challenging.

And, last but certainly not least, there’s a major problem with affiliates being required to recruit new members in order to properly qualify for the commissions that are being paid out.

SaladMaster isn’t necessarily paying affiliates to recruit other members, but rather they’re requiring them to recruit other members if they’d like to make money through their retail sales.

I sure hope that you have found my Saladmaster review helpful for you.

Some other reviews have been pretty scant on details, and I wanted my Saladmaster review to have all the information for you.
