Paycation Review – Is This A Good Opportunity Or Big Scam?

Paycation ReviewPaycation has been getting a lot of attention on the web lately.

Because there is so much hype, a lot of network marketers are trying to sell this opportunity all over the place, including all over social media.

I want to let you all know that I am NOT in any way promoting or selling Paycation.

I have simply gathered for you all the facts in this Paycation Review in order for you to make a proper decision about it.

So, is it true? Is Paycation a scam?

Can it really help you build an online empire?

Let’s carry on with the review.

What Is Paycation?

Paycation is the latest company up for our review in the multi-level marketing world, and the company first launched back in the early part of 2014. The operation is based out of Texas in the United States, and according to a bit of copy from their website, Paycation “works with Xstream Travel to provide members professional training to become a Referral Travel Consultant or a Certified Travel Consultant. Xstream Travel is a 12-year old licensed and bonded travel agency.”

The CEO for Paycation is listed to be that of a Mr. David Manning, and if Manning’s name sounds at all familiar to you, that’s because he was also the CEO for Xstream Travel (that we just mentioned above) in addition to Traverus.

For those who don’t know, Traverus has built a bit of a name for itself in the MLM world for providing travel services to other MLM opportunities that operate as nothing more than recruitment-based schemes. The Vacation Network is one of the most notable schemes that’s been wrapped up with Traverus, as the company marketed “a one time investment of $150.00 and $12.00 per month to qualify you to earn commissions.”

With that in mind, it doesn’t give Paycation the best feeling with us right off the bat to know that their CEO has deep ties to Traverus. However, bad feelings or not, here’s a closer look at what Paycation actually has to bring to the table.

Paycation Scam

What Are The Products For Paycation?

In regards to the product line that Paycation is using, the company themselves actually doesn’t have any goods or services to directly offer to folks. Members for Paycation really only have the membership itself to market and sell to prospective customers, and once someone becomes an affiliate for the company, they’re able to gain access to a “group of travel partners.”

While having access to a group of third parties is a nice addition to have, it still isn’t enough to mask the fact that Paycation really doesn’t have anything of substance to offer to their affiliates. Although you don’t necessarily need a physical product in your product line, access to third party groups really doesn’t create for a solid product line either.

What Is The Compensation Plan For Paycation?

When looking at the compensation plan that the company has set in place, we can easily see that the primary focus for Paycation is on getting their affiliates to recruit more and more people to sign up and get involved with the membership that the company has to offer.

There are travel commissions offered as well, but these pare in comparison to the recruitment commissions that are being offered. This harkens back to the recruitment scheme nature of companies like Traverus that we talked about earlier, and that really isn’t a great thing to see at all.

Paycation Affiliate Membership Ranks

Similar to many other multi-level marketing opportunities out there, Paycation has a host of different ranks for their affiliates to work towards and progress through. There are 5 different ranks being offered here, and higher ranks are obtained by boosting up the quantity and quality of an affiliate’s downline.

Once again, this strongly incentivizes the recruiting of more and more members for the affiliate program that Paycation is offering. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with wanting to recruit people to join your company, having that be the primary focus of your compensation plan is certainly a big issue.

Travel Commissions

Travel commissions do a play a role in the Paycation compensation plan, albeit not a very big one. Whenever a customer or affiliate for Paycation books a travel plan through one of the third-party services that the company is partnered with, a commission is doled out.

These commission rates vary depending on which membership an affiliate is signed up for. Referral Travel Consultants are eligible to earn a commission rate of 65%, and Certified Travel Consultants will see that number bumped up to 75%.

However, someone worth noting is the fact that commissions are not paid out on bookings that people make of airfare only and nothing more.

Recruitment Commissions

Recruitment commissions are the meat and potatoes for Paycation, and the rates for these commissions are dependent upon the level at which an affiliate signs up for when they’re starting out with the company.

When an affiliate signs up as an Independent Affiliate, the person who recruited them will earn a commission of $10. Signing up as a Referral Travel Consultant or Certified Travel Consultant will award the recruiting affiliate with a commission of $25.

In addition to this, another $10 commission is also paid out when affiliates for the company are able to gather new customers (consisting of the customer paying $39.95 right away and then handing over monthly payments of $29.95).

Unilevel and Matrix Commissions

On top of all this, Paycation also offers commissions through a unilevel and matrix system.

The unilevel system pays out a flat rate of 8% for all membership fees that are paid within the company, and this gets paid down to an infinite number of levels within a unilevel team.

The matrix system is that of a 3 x 7 nature, and payments are sent out once all 29,523 positions within the matrix have been filled. These positons are filled by affiliates through both direct and indirect recruitment methods, and having a larger downline will allow you to earn more money here.

What’s Does It Cost To Join Paycation?

If you’re interested in becoming an affiliate for Paycation, you actually have 3 different options available to you in regards to membership.

The three different levels are the Independent Affiliate, Referral Travel Consultant, and Certified Travel Consultant plans.

The Independent Affiliate plan is the most affordable with a membership fee of $29.95/month. The Referral Travel Consultant requires an upfront payment of $99.95 with a monthly fee of $59.95, and the Certified Travel Consultant boosts those numbers up to $199.95 and $59.95 respectively.

Is Paycation A Scam?

Based on this review, it might be hard to tell.

What exactly is the truth about Paycation – is it a scam or legit?

Good news – Paycation is not really a scam.

But, be sure to take a look at the conclusion, because there are some things you should be aware of.

This is how you will build a successful in your business.

Let me help you make more money.

Paycation Review Conclusion

The inclusion of travel commissions being available certainly is a nice touch for Paycation, but there’s simply no getting around the fact that the company is getting the majority of its funds and revenue from fees that their affiliates are paying.

The membership fees for becoming an affiliate are quite high, and if you just want to be a retail customer for the company to have access to the third-party booking services, you’re going to have to shell out $39.95 upfront and then $29.95/month after that.

With that being the case, we find it safe to assume that the retail side of things is going to remain quite inactive and quiet.

In addition to all of that, the commissions being paid out to affiliates for recruiting other people to join the company places Paycation as nothing more than a pyramid scheme.

And, as we’ve seen with all other pyramid schemes that have a strong emphasis on recruitment, Paycation is going to run into trouble once people stop signing up to be affiliates or customers. Without these hefty upfront fees or monthly payments coming in, the company will quickly run out of cash to pay out the commissions that they owe to their existing affiliates.

When this takes place, Paycation will succumb to a rather immediate collapse.
