Neora rejects settlements from the FTC, files lawsuit against the government agency
Neora has been getting a lot of attention on the web lately.
Because there is so much hype, a lot of network marketers are trying to sell this opportunity all over the place, including all over social media.
I want to let you all know that I am NOT in any way promoting or selling Neora.
I have simply gathered for you all the facts in this Neora Review in order for you to make a proper decision about it.
So, is it true? Is Neora a scam?
Can it really help you build an online empire?
Let’s carry on with the review.
What Is Neora?
If you regularly follow the MLM world, chances are you’ve heard of the FTC — also known as the Federal Trade Commissions. It’s a government body in the United States, and in the world of MLM, its goal is to ensure that pyramid and other schemes are promptly shut down before they can cause too much trouble.
The FTC has been particularly harsh about this lately, and as a result, has been targeting a lot of direct selling companies that feel as if they’ve been unfairly treated. One of these is Neora, and it recently made a big move against the FTC.
Per Neora’s Co-CEO, Deborah Heisz:
“Industry leader Neora has rejected an offer from the FTC to settle a threatened lawsuit, and moreover, has stepped up to file suit challenging the FTC’s ability to retroactively change the law without proper authority from Congress or through formal FTC rulemaking.”
She continued with:
“This is precisely the behavior that the President sought to prohibit in his October 9, 2019 Executive Orders, exhibit 1 and exhibit 2, as well as the Department of Justice in its November 16, 2017 Memorandum prohibiting all federal government agencies from utilizing ‘Guidance’ and other ‘off the book’ regulations to change the law. Neora has complied with all laws and the FTC’s most recent 2018 business guidance regarding direct sales business models.”
Those are big words from Heisz, but she wasn’t the only executive from Neora to publicly speak out about this.
Along with her, we also saw Neora Founder and Co-CEO Jeff Olson share some words:
“Eight years ago, Neora began as a family-owned business seeking to change lives through our products and opportunities.
We are the real deal; in the business of making people better, whether it is a hardworking parent or the budding entrepreneur looking to represent the industry’s leading products. Our brand partners work hard, and now it is our job to stand for them and protect the businesses they worked so diligently to develop.”
Ever since it initially launched, Neora has been one of the most notable companies in the direct selling niche. Its innovative products are loved by consumers, and while it does compensate people for recruiting others into the company, it’s heavily focused on direct/retail sales as its primary business.
In fact, looking through Neora’s statistics, 77% of all commissions paid out by Neora between 2012 and 2017 came from sales of products to end users.
That should well exceed what the FTC considers to be “primary” commissions, but for some reason, Neora was still targeted by the government body.
The FTC has refused to share with Neora its analysis of the company and what it’s targeting them, so it’ll be interesting to see where we go from here.
Closing all of this out, Jeff Olson also had this to share:
“We are an American small business and will take this David and Goliath-like issue and fight for the rights of the men and women who deserve a place in our American economy, and will not be bullied into settling for anything less.”
