Information about the Event and Why We Are Attending

The conference sessions at the National Entrepreneurs Convention are pitched at anyone who has ever dreamed of chucking in their job and working for themselves, or at people who are already out there and following their dream of running their own business. The idea of the convention is twofold; firstly to allow delegates to learn more about the factors which influence the success of new businesses and hear stories from those successful business people who have been there and built their businesses already.
Over the course of the two days of the convention, delegates will hear presentations from the likes of Sir Chris Hoy, who has recently launched his own brand of bikes after his Olympic success. There will be sessions on embracing new technology, how to make money in a very challenging marketplace, using social media to your advantage, keeping customers and attracting new ones and direct mail. There is something for everyone, whatever market they are in and whatever stage they are at with launching their new business venture.

There is no other convention like this currently running in the UK, and as well as educational sessions for participants, the convention also gives delegates a great chance to network, meet with like-minded people and share ideas about different business ventures. Simply sitting in the same hall as people who have achieved remarkable success in their own business is inspiration and motivation enough for many, and if not, the ideas and tips which you will pick up from the speakers and presentations will give you all the inspiration you need. Nigel Botterill (or “Nige” as he is affectionately known) is always inspirational in his presentations.

The National Entrepreneurs Convention will take place at the Birmingham ICC, right in the city centre. There is plenty of accommodation close by, giving the opportunity for networking and meeting fellow entrepreneurs from dawn to dusk. A huge part of the conference social scene is the National Entrepreneur Awards which takes place on the Friday evening and celebrates success and achievement among the British entrepreneur community. Expect some well-known faces to appear throughout the weekend in this event, which truly is a celebration of the culture of entrepreneurship as well as the best opportunity of the year to learn more about building up your own business.
