What The Heck Is Market America?

In the case of Market America, we’ve got a company operating in the niche of e-commerce that’s based out of North Carolina in the United States. It was founded in 1992 by James Howard and Loren Ridinger, and the company’s CEO and Chairman is James Ridinger.

Loren Ridinger is currently acting as Market America’s Executive Vice President, and before she founded Market America, she was serving as one of the top affiliates for Amway.

Along with its operations here in the United States, Market America simultaneously has operations in Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Spain, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Market America first hit the MLM scene as a publicly traded company, but it was hit with a complaint by the SEC in 1999.

In the complaint that the SEC sent, it was stated that Market America, “violated the antifraud and other provisions of the federal securities laws in connection with an unregistered distribution of Market America stock and other activities.”

This dispute was settled for the lump sum of $2 million, and two years after the issue, Ridinger bought up all shares that were leftover. As a result, Market America was removed from the public market.

What Are The Market America Products?

Jumping to Market America’s product line, the company doesn’t actually make any of the products or services that it sells. Instead, Market America sells third-party options through its own site and another domain called shop.com.

Looking specifically at shop.com, the website provides users with, “millions of additional products and services from well-known stores like Target, Nike, Apple, and more.

The cost is the same as it would be shopping directly from the store’s site, but Market America is able to pay Cashback, whereas individual sites do not.”

Market America sells a wide array of various goods or services, and although retail pricing for the “exclusive products” that Market America sells aren’t available, ones offered through shop.com are for certain items.

What About The Compensation Plan For Market America?

Market America pays its affiliates in a host of various ways, with the primary focus being on commissions paid for sales made by referred customers, cashback, and residual rates.

In regards to the cashback opportunity provided by shop.com, this is paid to affiliates for making their own purchases and on sales completed by retail customers you’ve referred to the website.

Retail commissions are offered here as well, with rates ranging from 30-50%. This rate is offered whenever a referred customer of yours buys products or services form shop.com, so you have the ability to earn through both the cashback service and these healthier retail commissions.

Market America also allows members to earn residual commission through a binary system, but in order to have access to these funds, you’ll first need to qualify for them.

With Market America, affiliates who want to earn MLM-related commissions must be both qualified and activated.

In order to be qualified, you’ll need to germinated a minimum volume of 200 BV.

Market America classifies BV as Business Volume, and this is generated whenever the company’s “exclusive products” are purchased by either an affiliate themselves or a referred customer.

Once this is done, you’ll need to be activated.

If you’d like to become activated, you need to ensure that you’re already qualified and then recruit two other affiliates who become qualified members as well.

After doing all of this, you then have access to the residual commissions that are paid through that binary system.

Points are added to either side of the binary like you’d find with most other MLM opportunities, and affiliates earn a certain percentage for a commission based off of how much BV is generated.

What’s The Cost Of Joining Market America?

In order to join Market America, you’ll need to pay a fee of $129.95. Along with this, the company will also give you the option to buy a Fast Start pack for the cost of $399.

Fast Start packs come with the company’s exclusive products and services, and while affiliates are encouraged to purchase this when signing up, it is not a requirement.

So, Is There A Market America Scam Going On?

Have you been hearing rumours that Market America is a scam?

After reading this review, you might still be asking yourself if it is really legit.

So – what is the truth? Is there really a Market America scam going on?

If I am being perfectly honest, Market America isn’t entirely a scam.

However, there are some things you need to watch out for.

This is how you will be successful in online marketing. See the image below for details.

Finally, My Market America Review And Conclusion!

With all of that said, where does that leave us with Market America?

The company doesn’t present it’s compensation plan is the most readable way possible, but once you break everything down, Market America turns into a fairly legit opportunity with a lot of potential.

The commissions being offered are quite fair, and if you focus on getting a lot of referred customers and get them to make consistent purchases, you’ll be looking at a fair amount of cash coming your way.

With that said, there is some concern with the potential of chain-recruitment.

It is possible for you to join and focus solely on recruiting other people, and seeing as how BV is generated via an affiliate’s own purchases, you could make recruitment your top priority and not focus on retail sales.

Seriously interested people reading things are advised to speak with their potential upline and see what the activity within the company looks like. If there’s a healthy amount of retail sales activity, you’re in the clear.

However, if it looks like folks are more concerned about affiliate recruitment over anything else, you’ll want to take your business elsewhere.
