Let me show you in my review of Kairos Technologies.
Exactly What Happened with Kairos Technologies?
Things are not looking good for Kairos Technologies after a series of arrests being carried out in Belarus, and a slew of investigations being conducted in Turkey, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia and Estonia.
Having launched in 2014, Kairos Technologies pitched itself as an MLM company that sold various online products (such as secure mail servers). In reality it was using a ponzi-type setup to encourage the mass recruitment of affiliates who would pay up to $2777 to get involved. From the start they were very sketchy about who was running things, and it perhaps comes as little surprise to many people that it turned out to be unsustainable. An additional concern with this company was the requirement that affiliates would give access to 320gb of storage space for up to 10 hours per day. It was never made clear what this space was being used for, which is unusual for a company that was selling secure cloud space to clients.
As often happens when fraudulent companies start hitting hurdles, Kairos Technologies has, for some time, been setting up shell companies through which it pays affiliates from. Since November of 2016 they had been using one called ESA Holdings GMBH that was based in Austria, and it seems as if the authorities have caught up with them.
On the 29th December Austria’s financial regulator, the FMA, released a public warning that stated that this shell company
‘is not entitled to provide payment services in Austria that require a license. The provider is therefore not permitted to provide transfer business’
Thereby shutting down Kairos Technologies’ ability to pay out to affiliates from this account anymore. The company admins have, so far, not responded to the action that has been taken, but in a news update on January the 3rd this year, they have said that affiliates who still qualify for payments from the company will find out more information about the next move soon.
