Get started by reading my review below.

Exactly What Is Fiverr?

Fiverr first launched in 2009 and is currently being run by CEO Micha Kaufman. Fiverr is an online website that aims to make it dead simple for people to buy and list freelance work, and it’s rapidly become one of the most popular options for doing so.

At the time of writing this review, Fiverr says that well over 25 million transactions have been completed on the website with more happening every single day.

The idea of having a website where freelancers can list their available services is not a new idea, but Fiverr’s simplistic approach to this niche is what’s helped it stick out so much.

Let’s take a closer look.

Fiverr Scam

What Is The Fiverr Product Line?

Instead of directly selling products or services to retail customers, Fiverr allows people to use its website to list jobs they’d like to offer to others. For example, if someone has a knack for logo design, video editing, writing, SEO work, etc., they can list their talents on Fiverr and allow people to purchase services from them.

To get started with this, all you need to do is head to Fiverr’s website and make an account. Once you have one, you’ll want to create a “Gig.”

A Gig is essentially a job listing for what you’d like to offer, and by default, Gigs are listed at $5 (more on this later).

If you’re a writer and someone’s looking for writing work, they’ll come across your Gig when searching through Fiverr’s site. If they choose you, you’ll do the work, get paid once the project is done, and then get feedback from your client.

Assuming you do a good job and collect a few 5-star reviews, it should become easier and easier to attract new clients to work with.

What Can You Tell Me About The Compensation Plan For Fiverr?

On the money-making side of things, the amount you earn will go up and up as you complete more Gigs.

Fiverr jobs initially default to $5, but you can use Gig Extras to charge a higher price — such as $10 for same-day delivery of your services.

For folks that have more complex things they’d like to offer, Fiverr does allow you to create custom prices with a max of $1500.

There are various levels that you can work through with Fiverr, including New Seller, Level 2, Level 2, and Top Rated Seller.

Higher levels are obtained by completing jobs and maintaining a good standing, and they also come with more Gig Extras, priority customer support, etc.

Something else to take note of is the processing fee that you’ll be faced with.

Fiverr collects 2% or $1 of the jobs you complete (whichever is higher) as this allows it to make money and stay operational. For example, if you complete a Gig for $5, you’ll actually earn $4 after the fee.
