B-Epic Review – Is This A Good Opportunity Or Big Scam?

B Epic ReviewB-Epic has been getting a lot of attention on the web lately.

Because there is so much hype, a lot of network marketers are trying to sell this opportunity all over the place, including all over social media.

I want to let you all know that I am NOT in any way promoting or selling B-Epic.

I have simply gathered for you all the facts in this B-Epic Review in order for you to make a proper decision about it.

So, is it true? Is B-Epic a scam?

Can it really help you build an online empire?

Let’s carry on with the review.

What Is B-Epic?

Although B-Epics web domain was originally registered in 2014, a recent change of ownership in August of 2016 appears to be when the current company first started. They state on their website that;

“Our team of leading industry professionals have been in the MLM industry for over 20 years, and are bringing all of their experience to your fingertips”.

Interestingly, the website doesn’t actually name any of these experts, nor does it say who owns or runs B-Epic. Researching the company reveals some answers, however, with Eric Caprarese’s LinkedIn profile saying that he is the President and CEO. Caprarese has a track record working within similar areas- having been a co-founder of ‘Brain Abundance’ (a very similar opportunity to what B-Epic is offering), and having some level of dealings with Amway, PureNRG FX and Blue Bird Bids.

Capraese has apparently sold his holdings in these companies and is now focusing on B-Epic, which is very much like a repeat of the offer being made by Brain Abundance.

The B-Epic capsules are available for $30 for a two-week pack, $45 for a month pack, and $89 for a two-month pack.

What Is The Compensation Plan For B-Epic?

Affiliates are able to earn from B-Epic’s compensation plan by recruiting new affiliates as well as selling product to retail customers.

B-Epic Recruitment Commissions

This gives affiliates the chance to earn based upon their ability to introduce new affiliates to the company. If the new affiliate purchases a two-week supply for $30, you will receive $10. If they purchase a one month supply for $45, you will receive $20 and if they purchase a two month supply for $89, you will receive $40.

Commission is also payable for purchases made by those that have been recruited by affiliates that you have recruited yourself. The commission payments for these purchases are $2 for the two week supply, $4 for the one month supply and $8 for the two month supply.

B-Epic Residual Commissions

B-Epic residual commissions reward affiliates for the success of their downline sales. The company uses a binary compensation structure model to calculate these commissions.

The binary structure is created by placing the initial affiliate in a position at the top. This position has two further positions beneath, which form level 1. Level 2 houses 4 positions by creating a further two positions beneath each of the level 1 positions. In the same way, Level 3 houses 8 positions, level 4 houses 16 positions and so on. Each position is filled by newly recruited affiliates.

From your initial position, the sales performance of the two sides of the binary structure are tracked, and commission is paid out accordingly. The sale of one bottle of product rewards 40 BV (Business Volume), and you will receive 20% of the BV of the weaker performing side of your structure.

Because of the way this works, you are required to have recruited at least two new affiliates before you can earn commission, because you need to have filled at least one position on each side of the binary.

B-Epic Matching Bonus

By using a unilevel compensation structure, B-Epic pays affiliates a matching bonus that is based upon the commissions earned through the residual calculations.

A unilevel model places the first affiliate at the top of the structure. Every new affiliate that this initial affiliate introduces to the scheme is placed in a position directly beneath them. This forms level 1. Every affiliate introduced to the scheme by those on level 1 will, in turn, be placed in a position directly beneath them, which forms level 2. This process continues as many times as is required, but the matching bonus offered by B-Epic only applies to the first 4 levels. The bonus amounts are as follows:

  • Level 1 affiliates – Earn a 20% match on commission earned
  • Level 2 affiliates – Earn a 10% match on commission earned
  • Level 3 affiliates – Earn a 10% match on commission earned
  • Level 4 affiliates – Earn a 5% match on commission earned

B-Epic Review Conclusion

B-Epic certainly has a structure in place that could be a viable proposition, but there are serious questions that must be asked before considering involvement in the scheme. With B-Epic being in a pre-launch phase (planned to launch in November, 2016) it is not fully clear where their priorities will lie, and this is crucial.

Pyramid schemes are constructed in a way that pays affiliates with funds from subsequently recruited affiliates, and B-epic seems to be at risk of doing this, despite having products to sell to retail customers. The reason I say this is because of the way the compensation plan is set up. It clearly rewards affiliates for having recruited new ones, rather than simply selling products. For schemes like this to be sustainable in the long term, product sales are vital to supplement income from affiliates and ensure there are enough funds in the pot to pay everyone what they are due. A healthy split would be 50/50, but it seems unlikely B-Epic will reach this level.

In practice, affiliates are being encouraged to join up and purchase a monthly order of product, and encouraging others to do the same. If this is to be the way it works, then we would be firmly within pyramid scheme territory and susceptible to the usual problems that these structures suffer from. This is exactly what happened with Caprarese’s previous company, Brain Abundance, which B-Epic shares many structural similarities with. When affiliate recruitment slows down, payouts to current affiliates will massively reduce and the company will soon collapse thereafter.

If you are considering becoming an affiliate with B-Epic, it is highly recommended that you research the exact priorities of product sales and what proportions of the sales are going to affiliates versus retail customers. If you feel that these sales won’t be like for like, then there is a high chance that the company will go the same way as Brain Abundance, and you will potentially lose out on all of your investment.
